Situated in the northern region of the Malaysian Peninsular, Pasir Salak is better known for its opposition against British rule which culminated in the killing of J.W.W Birch, the first British Resident, on 2nd November 1875. Only 70 km south of Perak's capital city of Ipoh, along the Perak River, is Pasir Salak Resort and Pasir Salak Historical Complex.
